Nature School - BOB (Butterflies of Britain)
We are passionate that our children explore nature, which is why all our children take part in weekly nature school sessions run by Butterflies of Britain.
These sessions offer all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in our woodland area.
Topics within the sessions are cross-curricular, or stand alone for that particular day. The themes which are covered range from the natural environment, for example the role of trees in society and the complexity of ecosystems, to the identification of specific plants and animals. However, personal skills, such as teamwork and problem solving, are considered highly valuable, and are often a strong focus in our class sessions.
Butterflies of Britain also provide nurture group care for small groups of children as well as after school fun sessions.
