Africa Alive! 2019
On Wednesday, Year 1 had an amazing time on their trip to Africa Alive! They got to see and learn about a range of animals from lions to zebras. The children also got to experience a workshop led by Africa Alive. In this, they learnt about herbivores, carnivores and omnivores, and even got to meet and touch some animals. Now we are back at school, we are going to continue our learning about different animals and will even have a go at writing a recount of what we did on our trip.
Lakenham Creamery Visit 2018
Did you know Lakenham has its very own ice cream factory? Year 1 do!! As part of their topic ‘Learning about their local area’ they were very lucky to be able to visit Lakenham Creamery. They learnt about how the ice cream is made and how the ice cream making process has changed over the years. Oh and they also got to taste the ice cream…. We now know why they have won so many awards!
