Charles Darwin sketching
Year 6 have been exploring the school grounds, putting their learning of how to classify living things to good use! As we have been looking at Charles Darwin this year, we decided that we would try to collect some plant specimens, the way he would have; we collected our specimens, researched about them to create a specimen sheet and then spent some time sketching what we had found.

Walk Around Norwich

On Monday 26th November, Year 6 went for a walk around Norwich to discover Tudor houses and other Tudor buildings. We walked down to Pulls Ferry to discover the place where it was said a ducking stool was used as punishment. We then walked on to Lollard's Pit where we learnt about how people were burnt to death for challenging the change in religion. For the rest of the trip we walked through Norwich, searching for Tudor features on different buildings – we all spotted jetties, thatched roofs and lots of beams!
