Music Year 1

Year 1 have been learning and performing song from a range of genres including African Folk, Jazz, Pop and Musical Theatre. We have been using actions to help us perform and clapping to help us learn the rhythms of each song.

When we enter the classroom each morning and afternoon, we listen to music to help calm us and make us think about our learning. Our favourite was 'Singin' In The Rain' as it made us feel happy and we could hear the performer tap dancing to the music.
