Science Reception

Science is covered in the "understanding of the world" area of the curriculum. It is introduced indirectly through activities that encourage the children to explore, problem solve, observe, predict, think, make decisions and talk about the world around them. 

Children explore people, creatures, plants and objects in the natural world. They use their senses to discover. They use questions to find out how things happen and how things work.
