Year 4 History

Year 4 were shocked arrived at school one day where they discovered something had been stolen and an awful mess left behind! Thankfully, they were able to interview eyewitnesses and write up a summary of the events that had happened and realised the description sounded a lot like Boudicca.....

They knew that the Boudican revolt was an armed uprising by native Celtic tribes against the Roman Empire. It took place c. 60–61 AD in the Roman province of Britain, and was led by Boudica, the Queen of the Iceni. They realised that she must have led the revolt to Lakenham and they set about writing newspaper reports of the events.

We immersed ourselves in a Roman and Celt day to try and help us understand more about how they lived.
